The NFPA is the National Fire Protection Agency. The NFPA 70E is a standard laid out by the National Fire Protection Agency that gives us requirements that employers must follow to protect employees from major electrical hazards. This includes, but is not limited to, electric shock, electrocution, arc flash, arc blast and assists in complying with OSHA 1910 Subpart S and OSHA 1926 Subpart K.
